When you work in a creative field, it’s important to create for yourself sometimes. In the video below we combined our passions of skiing and film. We shot and edited this ski video just for fun. We love editing video to music for fresh jump cuts and smooth transitions.

Filmmaking has played a large role in my life, especially as a creative outlet. I have been making films since I was 14 years old. It started with ski videos then turned into short films of varying genres. In 2009 I filmed, directed and edited a 6 minute war film that won best student film at the Castle Rock Film Festival and Miner’s Film Festival. In college, I was a film major for my first year. Since the film industry is typically more interested in your portfolio than a college degree I switched to double major in economics and communications. Since then, I obviously pursued marketing and web design but I love that my skills in multi-media apply to helping my clients.

I learned how to ski when I was 2 years old at The Summit at Snoqualmie in Washington state. My love for the sport hasn’t wavered since then, in fact I became more passionate about it when I moved to Utah at the age of 9. I was able to ski over 100 days per year. Needless to say I was living the dream. Although I can’t ski 100+ days anymore, I have a close group of friends that ski every weekend. I find it a way to connect with people on a different level. It’s a sport that is half action and half sitting on a floating chair chatting it up with your buddies and strangers alike. I still use skiing as a way to clear my mind of the happenings in the real world. Some of my most productive times come right after a few hours in the mountains.
